Micro Systems is participating in the Big Data round table to present the Internet of Things project carried out for FIMAP

Modena, Italy, 15 April 2016 – Micro Systems, specialised in highly advanced embedded electronics solutions, will be participating in the current and upcoming technologies round table at SPS IPC Drives Italia at the Parma Fiera exhibition centre on the 24th of May.

The session is dedicated to Big Data: the Fleet Management project we developed for Fimap, a manufacturer of floor scrubbers, will be explained, alongside the technical manager for the Zevio-based company. A debate will follow with the members of the Scientific Committee and the audience.

This convention will offer ongoing education credits to the participants, thanks to an agreement with the Italian order of engineers.

The key topic of the sessions will revolve around the concept of Automation 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution which introduces the concept of communication between machines, products and people in order to obtain more flexible and efficient production lines.

The Internet of Things solution offered by Micro Systems involves connecting the machines via GSM – Machine to Machine SIM – Server cloud in order to allow remote supervision of the machines, constant data gathering to optimise the processes and make operations more efficient, and monitor the data via a web portal.

By integrating different technologies with a single piece of hardware which is able to communicate with the machine’s control board, the Fleet Management solution developed for Fimap includes remote assistance, RFID tags for machine access, GPS geolocation and impact monitoring. All these data are brought together in a password-protected web portal, which is able to provide all information on the existing group of machines. The project also includes a technical support app, once again developed by Micro Systems.

At Micro Systems’ stand F 056, Pavilion 3, a floor scrubber-dryer will be on display alongside a detailed description of the project.
