Micro Systems and Eseye announce key new partnership

Together we have created a complete Industrial Internet of Things solution for the connection and predictive maintenance of industrial machines

London and Modena March 2017

A partnership agreement has been signed between the system integrator Micro Systems and the global Machine to Machine cellular connectivity provider Eseye. The purpose of the partnership is to create a single contact for the management of all aspects relating to the integration of the Internet of Things on industrial machinery, including: electronic communication boards, global connectivity services and web applications for supervising machine data.


Micro Systems’ Internet of Things solution makes it possible to connect machines anywhere in the world, thanks to integrated electronics that combine control, diagnostics and data communication. The data collected by the communication board is sent to a cloud server via an embedded modem and the Eseye “AnyNet” Sim Card.


The web portal is designed by Micro Systems based on customer specifications and makes it possible to view machine data, monitor its status, position, usage including data consumption, alarms and scheduled maintenance.

Eseye “AnyNet” SIM offers a global connectivity solution to allow international coverage in all Micro Systems’ devices and offers customers the simplified device estate management option of one provider for more than 440 networks all over the world.

The AnyNet SIM cards do not expire, have unlimited usage, can be deployed all over the world and connect to a vast number of networks (2G/3G/4G). Furthermore, the Sim Cards are available both as a standard plug-in SIM (2FF, 3FF, or 4FF) or Chip Sim (PCB mount).

Micro Systems’ offer includes the supply of the electronic board with the Sim Card already installed, tested and ready for data transmission anywhere in the world.

A few years ago, Micro Systems started to work towards Industry 4.0, transforming not only its technological offer, but also introducing machinery and systems that are able to streamline and improve the most critical enterprise processes.

From this point of view, we recently purchased a flying probe tester in order to pursue our goal of high-quality, reliable electronics, which has always been our prerogative: we want to completely eliminate the defects that can occur during assembly.

The SPEA flying probe tester 4020 makes it possible for us to increase productivity, be more flexible and quick when testing and at the same time easily test the most complex electronic boards produced with miniature SMD components.

We wanted to improve the process for testing the electronic boards we manufacture: today, we perform functional tests on 100% of our boards by using automatic stations that are controlled by experienced electronic experts. With the addition of the Flying probe tester, we are able to improve our testing with an automated process that makes in-circuit testing possible on all components in order to identify and eliminate all defects that are present.

Micro Systems and FIMAP, a leading manufacturer of floor scrubber dryers, presented the “Fleet Management” project at the Big Data and IOT convention at the SPS Italia trade fair held in Parma, Italy this May.
The Internet of Things solution implemented involves connecting the machines via an electronic board equipped with a 2G/3G module M2M SIM, and connection to a Server cloud in order to allow remote supervision of the machines, constant data gathering to optimise the processes and make operations more efficient, and monitor the data via a web portal.

Micro Systems makes Wi-Fi technology operating in Client mode available on its boards. Your machinery can now connect to corporate or domestic Wi-Fi networks for Internet access.

This function is in addition to the proven Access Point mode which allows machines to be controlled via a smartphone/tablet app.
